How Can a Retail Jewelry Website Get More Links, Q&A Series in Nice, FR

18 04 2011

Matthew A Perosi of the Jeweler Website Advisory Group answers a third really good question from Lee Krombholz of Krombholz Jewelers in Cincinnati, OH, USA. Le wanted to know if linking between various social media sites is better then posting to them directly. In this video Matthew makes some very valuable suggestions of which local organizations you should get links from, and he also explains a strategy of maintaining a non-jewelry related blog that will link back to the main retail jewelry website. This is the final video of 16 recorded in Nice, France in October 2010. Each video answers very specific questions from people in the retail jewelry industry. The Jeweler Website Advisory Group provides straight forward, easy to understand, and actionable examples through it’s educational information via video, eBooks, audio and daily email lessons. Yeah but it uses Mono, which is legally suspicious, and is hated by a significant number of open-source people because it looks like some insidious MS plot to bring down Ubuntu.

Yeah, Quicksilver was first.

@mrebus: Doesn’t really matter that much, what does matter is that both applications makes your life a lot easier!
I want to try out “Do” but I need to get gnu/linux on my macbook for that first.
BTW: Thnx for mentioning “Do” I forgot about that application.

This is strange. A few months ago I had a problem exactly with the iTunes plugin, but after I updated with the latest version of quicksilver from the official site it downloaded and installed like a snap.

No, I’ve looked into all the possibilities… it looks like the iTunes plugin just isn’t on their server any more.

May be you haven’t updated with the latest version. Check for a new version on the web site.

I’m just 6 months new to the Mac family and I don’t know why I put off this app until now. I’ve been using it for 2 days now and it just dwarfs spotlight in so many ways. Check out sr332603’s channel. He’s got a great 3 part tutorial for everyone who’s new to QS. My mac experience has so much added functionality with this app. I think that this is the standard of how computing should be. Whether it’s mac or pc, the level is raised. It just happens to be on Apple’s court right now.

Nice app, but it’s really annoying to listnen to this guy. Guess you can’t get mad at him either as he excuses himself in the beginning.

For anyone that does not use QuickSilver: go get it now! Do yourself a favor and just start to play around with it. Google Quicksilver for tutorials and you’ll bve amazed at what you can do with it and how it speeds up working with anything!
