@brianflynn23 Brain. I remember seeing Ralf McTell a few years ago. Ralf opened with the streets of London. And then proceeded to do a new song he’d written. But the audience kept shouting ‘ Streets of London, do streets of London’ Ralf continued with the new song but the heckling continued. ”STREETS OF LONDON” DO STREETS OF LONDON”. When Ralf got to the bridge he eventually improvised and came out of the Chorus playing Streets of London.

@angels77100 I often wondered why, at the end of the night when I tried to play the Wild Rover the crowd always shout “No no….gvie us Poker Face please !!” Now I know. Thanks for that !

I have to correct you sir. The Wild rover is not the most popular song in Ireland. According to a poll done last year it was ”Poker face” by Lady Gaga. The last time they did a poll for the most popular song in Ireland it was ”This old house” by Shakin Stevens. Before that it may have been ”The wild rover” I’m not sure, but I’ll take your word for it.
