Could anyone tell me why you would use cout << endl; instead of just adding n to the end of a string? Does it matter?

@PGspy18 Dont use System Pause – or you will be in the shit if you program for anything other than windows Use cin.get(); instead

OMG this is pretty much batch code i could make this in batch code, compile it into an exe and run it in about a miniute. wow.

Hello I get this message when I try to compile and run, any ideas?

|9|error: ‘system’ was not declared in this scope|

@TheHappyWhaleshark Why would you ever program anything for Windows?

@ thenewboston thats so different then C programming..
so if i want to learn c++ programming, it has almost no connection to regular c programming?

All the other tutorials make you quit because you can’t understand.
This makes me understand.

I’m so happy I found you! I was doing some research on the internet then it dawned on me that watching it on youtube would be easier. Low and behold, it is.

using namespace std (sexually transmitted disease) wat does that hav to do with our application

17 04 2011
monigarr

why do you put the statement ‘ using namespace std; ‘ after the main function?

Why not put that std statement at the top, right after the include and before int main?

And I said ok if you want to learn from videos, but certainly not from this one. Following these tutorials will only lead you to either buy a book anyways, or run off to forums where the people there have to explain you somehow that you have to unlearn half of what you learned before. Great.
And I said it before, there is nothing visual about programming, at least not in the basics. E.g. a video does help explaining the seperating axis theorem or line intersection, but not C++.

@narutofan9999 Get another hobby? Did I say that I struggled with learning from books? No. I simply stated people can learn quicker IN CERTAIN cases with videos.

@Vexadoodle
There is no such thing as “visual learning” in programming languages. Programming languages are based on text. Get over it, or get yourself another hobby. And these books are long for a reason: They are not as crappy as this tutorial. I just hope the author learned a few things in the meantime, and removes this video on his own. He could still upload a better one, but this one just sucks.

@narutofan9999 Fuck off. Books are too long and not helpful for visual learners.

@catholickid135
It appears to be harder for macs than for PC’s, because macs do not have a BIOS which means GRUB alone can’t do it’s job. I have however seen several tutorials on this already. I can’t help you myself though, as I do not and never did own a mac.
