PHP Tutorials: Dynamic pages (Part 1)

13 04 2011

Creating a standard webpage template, only the content changes when a link is clicked. Saves time duplicating each file, and makes it a lot easier if something needs to be changed, like a menu item, header, or footer.

Hi Everyone!

Maybe u can help me in this case:

I have an HTML PAGE with TEXTAREA, DROP-DOWN-LIST and SUBMIT BUTTON
and lets say User typed “TEXT” in the TEXTAREA and CATEGORIZED it with the DROP-DOWN-LIST OPTION called “OPTION1”. After he hit the SUBMIT Button, I would like that his “TEXT” is saved in the
MYSQL TABLE under FIELD “OPTION1”.

Whats the PHP Code for that?

Thank you in advance!

Well, not a bad tutorial, clearly explained I think, only I think you should have warned about security issues as well. It’s very important people learn to protect their code from the start. Problem is that a lot of people only do just a couple of lessons and think, I know PHP now and make my own website.

The code in this tutorial is vulnerable for file inclusions that aren’t belonging to your site. It’s not hard to explain and to understand, you should do it in this first lesson already.

What about letting users download content once they make a payment?
The content must only be accessible in a place where they receive only after they pay. Could this be done by creating a directory using a random number, sending them the link, then deleting this directory and contents after a certain period of time? Or could we know if anyone accessed that directory with php?

@gm3dgames hahahaha,
first of all, obviously I was just trolling !
second, yes I’m new to PHP and that allows me to see whether this tutorial is good or not better than someone with years of experience.
Let’s be honest, this tutorial should be called something like “PHP for shitheads” 😛
because basically all what he is talking about is too simple that you don’t need someone to _teach_ you that, and if the viewer is stupid to that extent, then there is no point of teaching him/her.

@TheXV22
Whats wrong with the tutorial? You are a fucking moron without enough brain-cells. Most likely i have been programming for alot more years than you, and I can say that this tutorial is great for people who are starting out and don’t understand what the hell $_GET is about. Think here buddy, you dont like it, DONT POST, get lost. How can YOU say that the tutorial is crap when you say that you are new to PHP? your logic is undeniably fucking stupid. Learn some shit first.

@eddy23slash I have used php recently for the first time for my projects which means I had no previous experience.
I can say that basically this tutorial is for morons who don’t have enough braincells to do anything useful anyways
