*Fall / Autumn & Thanksgiving* Nail Art Design Tutorial

13 04 2011

My website: http://www.sugarcharmshop.dk Since we don’t celebrate thanksgiving here I wanted to make a design that can work as a fall or a thanksgiving design. I decided on a warm toned faded tip with leaves and a pumpkin on each ringfinger 🙂 I will soon be posting a video for my etsy shop (polymer clay charms/jewelry). I havn’t had much in there at all, but have lots of new things to add now ^^ Have a question? please watch my FAQ video: http://www.youtube.com Music provided by: Jason Shaw @ audionautix.com

Click to Tweet: bit.ly Watch my other tutorials: http://www.youtube.com Learn what makes great looking images in film, music videos etc. It’s not always the camera but how you design the shots. In this first overall tutorial I try to explain in general terms what designing a shot entails. This can be applied with any video cameras, as well as digital and film cameras. It’s the basics of good photography. Special thanks to Beverley Marquis for starring in the video. Shot using the Red One Camera and Canon XH-A1. Here are great examples of what you can do with a HD camera without the lens adapter (courtesy of Jeremy Mcdermott): http://www.youtube.com and http://www.vimeo.com

@MadamDirtBag sometimes I use a nail strengthener without thinking about it, but I don’t need it – I have strong nails by nature so I don’t do anything special to get them to grow this long

@SuperAly26 I mostly just get the ides in my head, so ex if I need to make a fall design like this one I think of all the red oranges and burned colors and the pumpkin which also is a part of thanksgiving 🙂 it’s most often what ever comes to my mind

Can’t fool me! That was shot on the HVX with an adapter… not Red! I know its vignetting, breathing and grain all too well. Was the motor even switched on? Everything else in the video is true though!

Hey man. Is there by any chance that u could make a tutorial on how to colorgrade? If not, can u then tell me what effects u used for colorgrading the shot? The before and after shot in the end is very very intresting.

14 04 2011
randallpaulcom

yes shot with the red but he is absolutely correct you can get great footage from your Sony and Panny’s etc 1080i Shot set up, set design, filters etc. A camera is ot going to shoot for you, also realize how the footage has to be compressed mom and pop are not going to tell much difference or rate your footage based on your camera. Nice job onthe example here

I like how you say its not the equipment, its the person behind it….

designing the shot is a great way to put it… the camera will just capture that.

Cool! But I would like to know how to get the first shot you have at the beginning.
The little boy with the girl. That’s more interesting for me. 🙂
