do not mention the website mentioned, it was attacked by hackers and since the hosting company wasnt able to fix it i just ended my contract (but they didnt fix it) This is a vray light material tutorial, simple and easy stuff helping you to create a self illuminated object on 3ds max using the vray render engine

@wadehjb I guess not, I’m using Vray for maya and I have all vray lights and materials almost like 3ds max.

Thank you for the help. You are right about 1.08 being old and that’s the problem I think.

It looks like light materials and GI levels can be controlled in C4d with the compositng tag, but only in newer versions of V-ray.

Anyway, thanks again. This video was very motivating. 🙂

It’s version 1.082. Are the light materials a new feature? I’ve done a search all over Google for info on self illumination in C4d, but found nothing. 😦
